Events 2009 ........
We have an extensive calendar at Russborough for 2009. As we continuously have events added throughout the year, it is useful to mark this page as a Favourite so that you can return and check it regularly. We would also advise that many of our musical evenings have been sold out before the closing date, so it is advisable to book online early. It is also worth noting that we are open all year around by appointment.

The Band's line-up is impressive and features Kevin Conneff of The Chieftains (multi Grammy award winners) on vocals and bodhrán, Dubliner Paul McGrattan (The Frost is all over, Keelwest, Beginish .....) on flute, Dundalk maestro Gerry O'Connor on fiddle (Lá Lugh, Skylark, Journeyman ......) and Breton guitar virtuoso Gilles le Bigot (Skolvan, Barzaz, Empreintes....) on guitar and tambura. The Band's repertoire is mainly made up of traditional music and song from Ireland and Brittany with some Scottish material added for good measure. Patrick Walshe Painting Exhibition
The 2nd Annual Patrick Walshe painting exhibition. "My ambitions are to be able to continue this fascinating journey where every new painting is a further step, a culmination of a lifetime’s exploration. I feel truly lucky to be where I am in life. On reflection my choices have often seemed arbitrary and spontaneous though I believe the directional tug has always been inevitable. It is a marvellous experience to, at last, be carried along by a steady stream of inspiration. It has been hard fought for and I never take for granted the delicacy of the gossamer thread by which it all hangs."
