The Tour...

Russborough House
There are guided tours of the house every hour, on the hour, between 10.00am and 5.00pm each day (May to September), and on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays during April and October. The duration of these tours is approximately 45 minutes.
Private tours are also available on request, for which there is a minimum charge(click here).
Visitors are accompanied through the house by an expert guide who will give a room by room description of the exceptional architecture, antique furniture, tapestries, carpets, porcelain, silver and paintings on display. Visitors will be able to view:
- Madame de Pompadour’s water spaniel, made especially for her in the Vincennes porcelain factory. It predates 1753.
- Magnificent Louis XIV tapestries
- A 16th century Lotto rug from Anatolia in Turkey
- A scagliola console table top from Vallombrosa dated 1750 and Mariie Antoinette's gilt bronze microscope by Gozzi of Parma, dated 1772.
- The fine collection of French clocks.
- Two antique pianos. A Steinway from 1896 and a Bluthner from 1926
- A substantial number of the Beit Collection of Paintings
Private tours include some bedrooms upstairs from where the visitor can enjoy spectacular views of the southern parkland, The Blessington lakes and the Wicklow Mountains beyond..
