We're Recruiting: CEO Position

An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for a strong professional and authentic leader at Russborough House and Parklands and the Alfred Beit Foundation as we enter into the next stage of our development. One of Ireland’s finest Palladian Buildings and home to the world-famous Beit art collection, our mission to promote education in the fine arts in Ireland and to preserve and make accessible to the public the magnificant house and gardens, with its collections and wonderful demesne. Established in 1976 by Sir Alfred Beit, the Board is in the process of driving the implementation of a new era of custodianship, development and enhancement of the Russborough House experience.

We are now seeking exceptional candidates to lead Russborough as its Chief Executive designate to join our small leadership team and transition into the role when our long serving CEO retires in 2022. The successful candidate will provide visible and inspiring strategic and operational leadership and direction to the organisation. They will also assume the key executive leadership role within the Alfred Beit Foundation with responsibility for the management and operation of this commercially successful arts and tourism focused organisation centred on Russborough House and Estate,

In addition, reporting to the Chairperson and the Board, the CEO is tasked with:

the delivery of the Foundation’s marketing and promotional activities

  • delivery of financial targets
  • the safe and reliable running of Russborough House and Demense
  • the implementation of a successful business development strategy, management of conservation issues, and community and stakeholder engagements.

The CEO operates within clear policy guidelines set by the Board and will work closely with the Chairperson, the Board and its sub committees.
