West Wicklow Chamber Music Festival’s Winter Weekend returns to Russborough from 10-12 November, with four fantastic concerts featuring leading artists from around the world.

Celebrated by Classic FM as one of the “30 of the most brilliant young classical musicians playing today”, Turkish cellist Jamal Aliyev is captivating audiences all over the world. For this concert he will be joined by acclaimed Wicklow pianist Fiachra Garvey, who brings a “deep and infectious enthusiasm, combined with insight and technical comfort” (Sunday Times) to everything he tackles.

Rising Stars Concert: Irish Chamber Brass
Our Winter Weekend Rising Stars’ concert showcases Irish Chamber Brass, a quintet featuring some of Ireland’s very finest young brass musicians. The home crowd is well represented too, with two Wicklow musicians - French horn player Peter Mullen and trumpeter Nathan McDonell - featuring in the line-up!

Navarra Quartet & Fiachra Garvey (piano)
Regarded as one of the leading ensembles of their generation, the Amatis Trio are celebrated for their energy, communication and passion. From their base in Salzburg they have performed in 43 countries across 5 continents and have been awarded some of the2 / 2most prestigious music prizes from around the world. Their programme for their Wicklow debut includes music by Amanda Feery, Beethoven, Lili Boulanger and Mendelssohn.

Ailish Tynan (soprano) & Fiachra Garvey (piano)
Irish soprano Ailish Tynan is regarded as one of the finest singers on the world stage. A former winner of the Rosenblatt Recital Song Prize at BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, she is blazing an international career as an opera singer, recitalist and recording artist. Ailish joins celebrated Wicklow pianist Fiachra Garvey for programme that sets Romantic songs by Schubert, Schumann and Strauss alongside music inspired by the sensual and evocative poetry of James Joyce, W.B. Yeats and Seamus Heaney.
