14 March - 16 March

Celebrate St Patrick’s Day weekend with a relaxed programme of Irish culture, nature and music, set against the backdrop of the parklands and house.

Whether you’re visiting with family or friends, it’s a lovely time to enjoy the grounds, soak up a festive atmosphere and mark the national holiday in an easygoing way.

Saturday 14 March

The weekend celebrations begin with a special Birds of Prey demonstration by the National Birds of Prey Centre, taking place at the front of Russborough at 11am.

This engaging live display offers visitors of all ages the chance to see these remarkable birds up close while learning more about their care, conservation and natural behaviours. It’s always a highlight for families and a memorable way to start the St Patrick’s weekend.

To mark the occasion, shamrock plants will be available to visitors, offered on a first come, first served basis. A simple but meaningful keepsake to take home after your visit.

Monday 16 March

Ease into the celebrations with live traditional Irish music in the Russborough Café from 10am to 12 noon.

Enjoy a relaxed morning of familiar tunes alongside good coffee, light bites and conversation, making it a perfect pause before the busier St Patrick’s Day festivities begin. Whether you’re calling in for a walk, meeting friends, or simply enjoying the music, it’s a gentle and welcoming way to celebrate.

Throughout the weekend, visitors are encouraged to explore the parklands, enjoy the café and make the most of a festive few days in a distinctly Irish setting.
