21 - 23 August
Get ready to explore the wild world of Irish insects and invertebrates at the Invertopia Festival – it’s going to be a bug-tastic adventure!
Taking place in Russborough for a weekend of family-focused events, all based on giving you and your children an enthusiastic introduction to Ireland’s insect and invertebrate life.
We will gather some of the most interesting bug experts in Ireland to teach you and your kids all about Ireland’s incredible insects and invertebrates.
Just some of the activities and workshops we will undertake:
- What’s in the Moth Trap?
- Night Safari Walks
- Bat Walk (not insects, but worth it)
- Biological Recording for Kids
- Make your own invertebrate habitats (bee hotel/hoverfly lagoon)
- Bioblitz
- Science Poster Competition for Kids
- What’s in the Pond?
- Live Critter Shed Podcast
